Soil & Chemistry

When the Eaton Fire swept through her hometown in January 2025, Daisy knew she could help. With a background in organometallic chemistry and data analysis, she joined SoilWise in supporting the recovery of Altadena, Pasadena, and the Pacific Palisades. Her mission: to help families heal their land through soil bioremediation, restoring not just the soil, but a sense of hope.

Soil Wise

SoilWise’s bioremediation work after the Eaton Fire centers on empowering communities to assess and reclaim their soil health through compost-based restoration and practical toolkits. Meanwhile, soil bioremediation at large is a scientifically grounded, nature-based strategy that restores contaminated land using microbes, fungal networks, or plants—applied through various tailored methods from in-situ to ex-situ treatments
